Kada prasad, also known as atta halwa is a Punjabi staple that is made in Gurudwaras and homes for Guru Nanak Jayanti. To celebrate Gurpurab, here’s how you can make it at home.
1 cup atta 1/2 cup ghee 1 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder 1/2 cup water Chopped nuts for garnish
Heat some ghee and add atta. Roast till golden brown and fragrant.
Add sugar and stir well. Gradually mix water and mix till it thickens.
Once the water is absorbed, add the cardamom powder. Turn off the heat.
