Rava Dosa is a crispy, golden dosa made from semolina (rava), rice flour, and plain flour. Paired with coconut chutney, it's a delicious South Indian breakfast that's light, savoury, and easy to make.
½ cup rava (semolina) ¼ cup rice flour ¼ cup all-purpose flour Salt to taste 1 tsp mustard seeds ½ tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp whole pepper
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger 2 green chillies (chopped) 1 onion (finely chopped) Curry leaves 1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped) Water as needed Oil for cooking
In a bowl, mix rava, rice flour, all-purpose flour, and salt with water to make a thin batter.
Let the batter rest for 15 minutes to allow the ingredients to soak. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and pepper, and sauté briefly.
Add chopped ginger, curry leaves, green chillies, and onions to the pan and sauté for a minute.
Pour the tempering into the batter and mix well with coriander leaves. Heat a non-stick tawa and pour the batter thinly from a height without spreading.
Drizzle oil around the edges and cook until the dosa turns golden and crispy. Flip and cook the other side for a minute.
