Gulab jamun is one of the favourite desserts of India. Hot gulab jamun with chilled vanilla ice cream is the most amazing combination. Let us look at easy steps to make the dessert at home.
1 cup Sugar 4 Cardamom pods Lemon Juice 1/4 cup Milk Powder 1/4 cup Maida Pinch of Baking Soda 1 tbsp Ghee 3-4 tbsp Milk Ghee
To prepare the sugar syrup, heat up water with cardamom and lemon juice. Thicken it till single string syrup.
In a mixing bowl, add maida, milk powder, baking powder and ghee. Mix them well.
Next, add milk an make a smooth dough. Do not knead it too hard. Make small balls out if it.
Heat up ghee in a kadhai and fry the balls till they are golden brown.
Immerse the gulab jamuns in the sugar syrup for a couple hours. Serve and eat and enjoy!
