Nankhtati is a traditional Indian cookie that is popularly made in Gujarat. This monsoon season, if you are looking for a savoury snack to pair with your chai, try making nankhatai at home.
1.25 cup all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons fine semolina ½ cup powdered sugar ½ cup ghee ¼ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon cardamom powder 2 teaspoons nuts of your choice A few rose petals for garnishing
Sift the all-purpose flour and semolina together. Set aside.
Whisk powdered sugar and ghee. Add cardamom powder and beat till well-mixed.
Add the sifted flour and make a smooth dough.
Take small portions, roll them into balls and gently press them down with a fork.
Garnish with chopped nuts and sprinkle a few rose petals. Bake for about 15 minutes and enjoy.
