Homemade BBQ sauce offers a delightful blend of flavours, tailored to suit your preferences. By making it from scratch, you have full control over the ingredients, ensuring a healthier and preservative-free option.
1 cup ketchup 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/4 cup molasses 2 tablespoons honey 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
In a saucepan, combine 1 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard.
Stir in 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
Add 1/4 cup molasses and 2 tablespoons honey for sweetness. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. Remove from heat and let it cool before using.
