Make Famous Banarasi Tamatar Chaat From Anant-Radhika Wedding At Home This Weekend

After Nita Ambani visited Kashi Chaat Bhandar, it was reported that the menu for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding will feature delicacies from the shop. Mrs Ambani was spotted savouring tamatar chaat at the shop, here is your guide to making it at home.

Ingredients

1 tsp cumin & mustard seeds 6-8 medium tomatoes 1 tsp fennel seeds 2-3 garlic cloves 1-inch ginger 1 tsp coriander & cumin powder ½ tsp garam masala & black salt 1 tbsp lemon juice ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder 2-3 finely chopped green chillies 2 tbsp ghee ¼ cups boiled potatoes and peas 1-2 tbsp sev & coriander leaves

Step 1

Wash tomatoes thoroughly and chop them into small pieces.

Step 2

Heat ghee, add fennel, cumin, and mustard seeds. Add chopped ginger, garlic, and green chillies.

Step 3

After sauteing, cook tomatoes in the spiced mixture until mushy. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, black salt, and coriander powder

Step 4

Once the mixture comes together, add mashed boiled potatoes and green peas. This will enhance the texture and flavours of the recipe.

Step 5

After cooking for 5-7 minutes. Turn off the flame.

Garnish the chaat with sev, lemon juice, and coriander leaves before serving.
