Indulge in the refreshing taste of homemade mango sorbet, a perfect treat for hot summer days. This is an easy-to-make dessert that captures the vibrant flavour of ripe mangoes and requires just a few simple ingredients. Here how you can make mango sorbet at home:
4 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 1 tablespoon lemon juice Pinch of salt
Start by peeling and dicing four ripe mangoes. Ensure they are fully ripe for the best sweetness and flavour.
In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
In a blender or food processor, combine the diced mangoes, cooled simple syrup, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Pour the mango puree into a shallow container and place it in the freezer for about an hour until it starts to firm up.
After an hour, remove the mixture and blend it again to break up any ice crystals. Transfer it to an airtight container and freeze for an additional 3-4 hours, or until fully set. Scoop the mango sorbet into bowls or cones, and enjoy the burst of tropical flavor.
