Making milk cake at home might sound a little daunting but it's not as hard as it seems. With the proper tools and the right process, it is easy as a breeze. Learn how to make delicious milk cake at home with this simple recipe.
2 litres of milk 1 cup of sugar 1¼ tbsp lemon juice 7-8 tbsp ghee ¼ tsp cardamom powder Pistachios, chopped
Take a well-seasoned stainless steel pan and heat it up on medium flame.
Add milk and sugar to the pan and mix well. Bring it to a boil then once it starts to simmer, add lemon juice. Milk will start to curdle slightly and won’t separate entirely.
Add ghee to the mixture and stir continuously. Keep the heat high and avoid burning by stirring.
As the mixture thickens, put a lid on to minimize splattering. Cook until it reduces and gets thick. When it starts to change colour, add cardamom and ghee to it for flavour.
Once cooked, remove the mixture into a greased pan. Chill it in the fridge to set and sprinkle pistachio for garnishing. Slice it up and serve.
