Beetroot chilla is a nutritious and easy-to-make Indian pancake. Made with besan and oats, this colourful dish is packed with fibre and essential vitamins. Perfect for a healthy breakfast or snack.
2 medium beetroots, boiled 1 cup besan (chickpea flour) ½ cup oat flour ¼ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp salt (or to taste) Pinch of hing (optional) Water (as needed) Oil for cooking
Blend the boiled beetroots into a smooth paste.
In a bowl, mix besan, oat flour, hing, red chilli powder, and salt.
Slowly add water and whisk to form a medium-thick batter.
Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat. Pour a ladle of batter and spread it evenly in a circular motion.
Cook each side for about 2 minutes, adding oil if necessary.
