Bhel is a quintessential Indian street food, loved for its perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and sweet flavours. It's a quick, light, and satisfying snack with a delightful mix of puffed rice, chutneys, and fresh veggies.
2 cups puffed rice (murmura) 1/4 cup onion 1/4 cup tomatoes 1/4 cup boiled potatoes 1/4 cup roasted peanuts 2 tbsp nylon sev
2 tbsp tamarind chutney 1 tbsp green chutney 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 tsp chaat masala 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder Fresh coriander leaves Lemon juice Salt
Gather and chop all vegetables, prepare the chutneys, and keep the spices ready.
In a large mixing bowl, add puffed rice, peanuts, onions, tomatoes, and boiled potatoes.
Drizzle tamarind and green chutneys over the mix. Sprinkle red chilli powder, chaat masala, cumin powder, and salt.
Toss everything together gently but quickly to coat the puffed rice evenly with chutneys and spices.
Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, mix, and transfer to serving bowls. Top with nylon sev and fresh coriander.
