Many people prefer vegan curd or yoghurt in their diet. In such cases, you don’t have to look for options outside your pantry if it is loaded with coconut milk. You can make vegan yoghurt at home without hassle.
1 tbsp cornstarch 2 cups full-fat coconut milk 1 tsp powdered yoghurt starter
Sterilise all the utensils and flatware you will use to make vegan yoghurt.
Combine coconut milk with cornstarch to make a lump-free mixture and heat it on a medium flame for 10 minutes.
Let the milk cool off a bit so that when you add the starter, the temperature does not kill it.
Add yoghurt powdered starter when the milk is warm and transfer the concoction to a container.
Store the container in a dark and warm place for the fermentation to take place.
Use vegan yoghurt to prepare various dishes.
