Love the creamy, dhaba-style chicken bharta? You can easily make it at home with some simple ingredients! Here's a quick and easy recipe for a delicious homemade chicken bharta

500 grams boneless chicken 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder Salt to taste 2 tablespoons oil or ghee 1 large onion, finely chopped 2 large tomatoes, pureed 1 teaspoon cumin powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon garam masala 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder 1/2 cup fresh cream Fresh coriander leaves

In a bowl, mix the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt to form a smooth marinade. Add the chicken pieces. Cover and let it marinate for at least 1-2 hours, or overnight

Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until they are browned and cooked through. Set aside.

In the same pan, add more oil if needed. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until the raw smell disappears. Add the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil starts to separate from the masala.

Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes. Stir in the cooked chicken pieces and coat them well with the masala. Pour in the fresh cream and mix thoroughly. Adjust the consistency with water if needed.

Simmer the gravy on low heat for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Serve Chicken Bharta hot with naan, roti, paratha, or steamed rice. Garnish with additional cream and coriander leaves
