Ingredients

1 cup moong dal 1 small raw mango, peeled and chopped Salt 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp mustard oil 1 dry red chilli 1/2 tsp cumin seeds A pinch of hing 4-5 curry leaves 1/2 tsp sugar Coriander leaves

Step 1

In a pot, heat mustard oil and add the dry red chili, cumin seeds, hing, and curry leaves. Saute for a few seconds until fragrant.

Step 2

Add the soaked lentils, chopped raw mango, water, salt, and turmeric powder. Mix everything well and bring it to a boil.

Step 3

Lower the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes or until the lentils are cooked and the raw mango has softened.

Step 4

Add sugar and stir well. Turn off the heat and let it sit for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
