Craving bakery-style veg puffs? With a few simple ingredients and steps, you can create this delicious snack at home, perfect for teatime or a quick bite.
1 pack of puff pastry sheets 1 cup mixed vegetables (potatoes, peas, carrots, etc.) 1 onion, finely chopped 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp cumin seeds Salt and pepper to taste 1 tbsp oil 1 egg (for egg wash, optional) or milk
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and sauté onions until golden. Add mixed vegetables, garam masala, salt, and pepper. Cook until vegetables are tender.
Let the vegetable mixture cool completely before using it in the puff pastry. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares. Place a spoonful of filling in the centre of each square.
Fold the pastry over the filling to form triangles or rectangles. Press the edges with a fork to seal.
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Brush the puffs with egg wash or milk. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
