Rasam, a South Indian classic, is a staple in most households. But with the increase in adulteration cases, it’s always better to use homemade rasam podi. With this recipe, you can make it in just 3 steps.
1 cup - coriander seeds 2 tablespoons - cumin seeds 1/4 cup - black peppercorns 15 dry red chillies 1/3 cup - Toor dal 2 tablespoons chana dal 1 turmeric stick 2 sprigs curry leaves
Mix all the ingredients. Heat a pan and dry roast the mixture till fragrant.
Let the roasted mixture cool down. Grind to make a smooth powder.
Store in an air-tight container till the next time you want to make Rasam.
