If you're looking for a North Indian treat, try your hand at Amritsari Kulcha. It is a light, soft naan with a flavourful onion filling. Enjoy this mouth-watering meal that will take you straight to the streets of Punjab

Ingredients 

1/2 cup lukewarm water,   1/4 cup lukewarm milk 1/2 cup Curd 2 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp ghee 3 cups maida 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp baking soda Salt to taste 3 finely chopped onions 2 tbsp coriander leaves 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp chili powder 1 tsp amchur powder 1 tsp roasted anardana powder Butter for spreading All-purpose flour (maida) for dusting

Step 1 

Mix lukewarm water, milk, curd, sugar, ghee, maida, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to form a soft dough. Add ghee and knead the dough until smooth. Cover with a wet muslin cloth and let it rest for 2 hours.

Step 2

For the stuffing, mix chopped onions, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, chili powder, amchur powder, and roasted anardana powder.

Step 3

Take a handful of dough, roll into a ball, and flatten. Apply butter and add a spoonful of onion mixture. Seal the edges and flatten.

Step 4

Cook the kulcha on a hot tawa, flipping until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with Garma Garam Amritsari Chole for a complete wholesome meal.
