Sundays are just for re-watching your favourite show with a crispy snack to munch. While onion rings are the perfect option, deep frying can make them unhealthy. So here’s how you can make onion rings in an air fryer to enjoy them guilt-free.
1 large onion 1 cup all-purpose flour 3/4 cup chickpea flour 1 cup breadcrumbs 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 cup cornstarch 1/2 cup water Salt and black pepper to taste
Slice a large onion into thick rings and carefully separate them.
Mix all-purpose flour, besan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Make a smooth batter with cornstarch and water.
Coat each onion ring with the dry mixture, then dip them in the batter and coat in the breadcrumbs.
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C. Air fry the onion rings in batches for about ten minutes on each side.
Let the onion rings cool down slightly before serving. Pair with a dip and enjoy.
