What can be better than a refreshing glass of thandai during the festival of Shivratri? Here is an easy recipe to make it at home.
2 tsp almonds, 3 tsp cashews, 3 tsp pistachios, 3 tsp watermelon seeds, 3 tsp poppy seeds, 3 tsp green cardamom, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp black peppercorns, 1 cup milk, 1 1/2 cup sugar, rose petals
Add all the dry fruits, spices and seeds in a mixer and grind them into a powder. Boil the milk in a pan and stir in sugar.
Then add the powdered mixture and mix it well. Let it come to a boil. Keep it in the refrigerator to cool.
Pour it into a glass. Garnish with almond, cashew and rose petals. Serve chilled.
