Adai dosa is an Indian version of crepe or pancakes but healthier than English breakfast choices. It is commonly prepared in South Indian households. Here is a quick recipe that you must try.
¼ cup urad, chana, & toor dal ½ cup rice 1.5 cups water 2-3 dry red chillies ¼ cup coconut & coriander leaves 1.5 tsp ginger Salt to taste 1 chopped green chilli 6-8 curry leaves Oil as needed ½ tsp cumin seeds A pinch of hing
Wash rice and lentils thoroughly and soak for at least 2-3 hours.
Drain the water and blend the ingredients with cumin seeds, hing, ginger, and green chillies.
Add water to adjust the consistency of the batter and keep it aside for 2-3 hours.
Heat a skillet until water droplets start dancing on it. Pour batter on it and spread it evenly.
Add ghee or oil around the edges and wait for the base to turn brown and crispy.
Serve adai dosa with sambar and chutney of your choice.
