Love Jalebi: Quick Easy Recipe To Make Them At Home

Ingredients

jalebi batter: ½ cup all purpose flour maida 1 tsp corn flour ¼ tsp baking soda ½ tsp vinegar 1 tsp yogurt / curd 5 tbsp water (or as required) ⅛ tsp turmeric powder / haldi / yellow food colour (optional) for sugar syrup :¼ cup water 1 cup sugar ¼ tsp saffron strands / kesar (optional) ¼ tsp cardamom powder / elachi powder other ingredients: 1 tbsp ghee oil for deep frying

Step 1

Combine the plain yoghurt, plain flour and corn flour in a mixing dish. Pour in enough water and vinegar to make a smooth batter.

Step 2

Now mix for around 4-5 minutes. Add baking soda, then gently combine. take a bottle and fill it with batter.

Step 3

In a pan with hot oil, add clarified butter. Squeeze the bottle to mould the batter into spirals.

Step 4

Now Fry the jalebis for a single flip until they are faintly browned. After the jalebis are cooked.

Step 5

When they are cooked properly immediately submerge them for 30 seconds in the heated sugar syrup.

Step 6

Serve the jalebis warm, at room temperature, or on the hot side. Enjoy!
