Nothing can match the comfort and flavour of chicken seekh kebabs. These juicy appetizers are popular all around the world but they may not be the healthiest choice since a lot of oils and fats are used during their preparation. But this issue can be solved by making some smart changes and following these tips.
To lower the total calorie and fat content, choose lean chicken parts such as trimmed-off chicken breast or thigh flesh.
To boost fibre, vitamins, and minerals, add finely diced bell peppers, onions, carrots, or spinach to the chicken combination.
To cut down on additional fat, prepare or grill the kebabs using as little oil as possible. Alternatively, you may pour oil into the grill before adding the kebabs.
For more fibre and nutrients, go for whole grain alternatives when using flour or breadcrumbs as binders.
Instead of using heavy cream or high-fat sauces, marinate the chicken in a combination of yoghurt and spices. Yoghurt offers taste and hydration without packing on the calories.
Opt for grilling or baking the kebabs instead of frying to reduce oil absorption and overall fat content.
Accompany the kebabs with fresh salads, whole grain bread or wraps, and yoghurt-based dips or sauces for a balanced and nutritious meal.
