These cute and delicious little masala corn fries can give you a full corn on the cob experience when made right. Here’s the recipe you need to make this perfect monsoon treat.
1 pack sweet corn kernels 25 toothpicks 2 tbsp rice flour 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp salt ½ tsp black pepper powder Oil, for frying For the spice mix: 1 tsp chilli powder 1 tsp roasted cumin powder 1 tsp chaat masala ½ tsp black salt
Clean the sweet corn kernels, then skewer 5-6 of them in a toothpick. Follow this until all sweet corn kernels are skewered.
Place the sweet corn skewers in a large bowl, then add rice flour, garlic powder, salt, black pepper powder and mix well.
Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the coated sweet corn skewers. You can also air-fry the skewers if you want.
In a separate bowl, mix together the chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala and black salt.
Once the masala corn fries are fried, toss them gently in the chaat masala mix and serve with lemon wedges, chutney and mayonnaise.
