If you have tried Punjabi, Rajasthani, Gujarati, and Sindhi kadhi recipes, it is time to try the Maharashtrian recipe. It is equally delicious and easy to cook. Make your mundane day better with a serving of Maharashtrian kadhi, rice, roti, and aloo or bhindi sabzi.
2-3 tbsp besan 1 tbsp ghee 1-2 slit green chillies 1 cup curd 5-6 curry leaves Salt to taste ½ tsp mustard seeds ¼ tsp sugar ½ tsp mustard and cumin seeds 1 tbsp chopped coriander ¼ tsp turmeric Water as required
Make a smooth paste of curd and gram flour. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
Add ghee to a pan, heat it, and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and green chillies.
Pour the dahi and besan batter and fill the utensil with water. Add the remaining spices and let the kadhi simmer.
Keep stirring the kadhi in between so that the curd does not curdle.
Adjust the salt and sugar levels. Garnish kadhi with fresh coriander leaves.
Temper the kadhi with mustard seeds and red chilli powder. Serve it hot with rice and roti.
