One of the best recipes you can make with patta gobi is cabbage thoran. The South Indian delight is easy to cook, requires a few ingredients, and tastes delicious. It is also lightweight to digest.
½ thinly sliced cabbage 2 grated carrots 1 cup grated coconut Salt to taste ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste 2 chopped green chillies 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 dry red chilli 7-8 curry leaves 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Wash cabbage and carrots. Thinly slice the vegetables or grate them.
Use a pestle and mortar to grind ginger, garlic, and green chillies into a coarse paste.
Take a heavy bottom pan, and heat oil in it. Add mustard seeds, turmeric powder, and curry leaves.
After sauteing for a minute, add red chilli and ginger garlic paste.
Pour cabbage and carrot into the kadhai and cook with a sprinkle of salt.
Top with grated coconut and fresh coriander leaves. Serve with paratha and rice.
