Mushrooms are not the ideal food items you should consume in monsoon because of the increased risks of infection. However, if you crave them so much, you can incorporate them into your diet as snacks. Here are a few dishes that you must try.
Mushroom croquettes are made by chopping a variety of mushrooms, adding spices, and frying them like pakoras until the crust is crispy. They pair well with yoghurt dip.
Purchase small buns from the market and layer sauteed mushrooms, fresh lettuce, tangy sauces, and aloo patties to make delicious sliders.
Prepare a creamy mixture of mushrooms and add them to the dough of puff pastry. Bake until the crust becomes flaky and golden brown and enjoy.
In monsoons, you can make mushroom pakora by deep frying them after coating them with spiced gram flour batter.
Chop mushrooms of your choice and mix them with chopped onions, tomatoes, lemon juice, and coriander leaves. Spread this mixture on toasted bread slices and enjoy.
Stuffed mushrooms are the best snacks you can make. Cut the stem and fill mushroom heads with a combination of cheese, cream, and garlic. Bake and enjoy.
Marinate mushrooms with oil, spices, and herbs. Add them to skewers and grill them in a tandoor or oven. Enjoy the flavour bombs with your favourite sauce or chutney.
