Like Kashmiri Pink Tea? Here Is How You Can Make It At Home

Kashmiri pink tea is known for its colour, taste, and aroma. Referred to as the Kashmiri noon chai, unlike other recipes, this one is salted. If you have been craving it, this step-by-step guide will help you make it at home.

Ingredients

2-3 ice cubes 1 cinnamon stick 1 cup water, milk 6-8 cardamom pods ⅛ tsp baking soda 2 tbsp sweetener 2 whole cloves, star anise 2 tbsp Kashmiri chai leaves ¼ tsp salt

Step 1

Add ice to water and keep it aside. Head another cup of water in a saucepan along with Kashmiri tea leaves and spices.

Step 2

Add baking soda to the concoction and let the mixture boil for 5 minutes. 

Step 3

Pour ice water into this blend and aerate it until the colour deepens.

Step 4

Pour milk and sprinkle sweetener and salt in it.

Step 5

Once the mixture comes to a boil, turn off the flame.

Step 6

Strain the tea in cups containing chopped and crushed dry fruits.
