Greek salad is a refreshing Mediterranean staple that’s chalk full of delicious and hydrating ingredients, including lettuce, olives, cucumbers, and tomatoes, making it a summertime favourite. Here’s a simple Greek salad recipe to help you replicate this easy-breezy dish at home.
1 sliced cucumber 2 chopped tomatoes 1 can pitted black olives 1 head lettuce, washed, dried, and chopped 1 chopped green bell pepper 1 chopped red bell pepper 1 thinly sliced red onion 1 juiced lemon 1 cup crumbled feta cheese 1 tablespoon dried oregano 6 tablespoon olive oil Ground black pepper (to taste)
In a large bowl, mix the lettuce, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, bell peppers, and red onion; dust the concoction with some feta cheese.
In a separate smaller bowl, whisk the lemon juice, oregano, black pepper, and lemon juice together; this is your salad dressing.
Sprinkle the dressing over the salad in the large bowl and blend the two components thoroughly to ensure that the flavours meld well.
