Lemon is a quintessential ingredient of many recipes to survive the scorching of summer. If you’re looking for a classic summer dessert, here’s a quick recipe for tangy lemon pie.
Lemon juice - 1 cup Lemon zest - 2 tablespoons Egg yolks - 4 Condensed milk - 1 can Graham cracker crumbs - 1.5 cups Butter - 6 tablespoons Heavy cream - 1 cup Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
To prepare a crunchy crust, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and powdered sugar.
Layer the mixture in a pie dish and bake it for about 10 minutes. Let it cool, and start making the filling.
For the filling, mix condensed milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, and egg yolks till you get a smooth consistency.
Pour the filling on the crust and bake the pie for another fifteen minutes.
Refrigerate the pie for about four hours till you prepare the whipped cream.
Beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla essence till it's stiff.
After the pie is chilled, top it off with whipped cream and serve on a classic summer day.
