Enjoy your morning by making this nutritious Jowar dosa batter recipe. With high fibre and essential nutrients, Jowar dosa is a healthy alternative to classic dosas, ideal for health-conscious individuals.
1 cup jowar (sorghum) flour ½ cup rice flour ¼ cup urad dal (black gram lentils), soaked for 4-6 hours ½ teaspoon fenugreek seeds Salt to taste Water, as needed
Rinse and drain the soaked urad dal and fenugreek seeds. Blend them into a smooth batter using a mixer grinder. In a large bowl, combine the jowar flour, rice flour, and blended urad dal batter.
Add salt to taste and mix well. Gradually add water to achieve a dosa batter consistency. Allow the batter to ferment overnight or for 8-10 hours.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan, spreading it in a circular motion to form a thin dosa. Drizzle oil around the edges and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot with your favourite chutney or sambar. Enjoy the wholesome goodness of Jowar dosa!
