Lauki Raita: A Refreshing Side Dish With Summer Meals

Lauki raita is a simple yet refreshing side dish made with bottle gourd and yoghurt. It is rich in vitamins and minerals along with being delicious. Here is a simple recipe to prepare lauki raita at home.

Ingredients

250 g bottle gourd 3 cups yogurt Salt to taste 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

Step 1

Peel and grate lauki. Boil it with a little salt for five minutes. Drain out water and let it cool.

Step 2

Whisk chilled yoghurt and mix salt and red chilli powder. Add boiled lauki and mix well.

Step 3

Dry roast cumin and make a coarse powder. Serve lauki raita sprinkled with cumin powder.
