This drink is simple, wholesome and super nutritious that is recommended you have every morning for detox. Here's the recipe for Lauki Mint Smoothie.

1 Bottle gourd (lauki) , peeled and diced 1 inch Ginger , chopped Mint Leaves (Pudina) , small bunch Salt , or kala namak to taste Lemon juice , from 2 lemons Honey , or jaggery (optional)

Place the bottle gourd, ginger and mint leaves into a juicer. Run the juicer until all the juice comes out. You can add a little more water to the juicer and get more of the nutrition from the existing pulp.

Pour the lauki mint smoothie into a jug, add the salt to taste, juice from the lemon and serve it for breakfast or the first thing in the morning before breakfast.

Bottle gourd is also known as Lauki or Giya and is rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin B, sodium, iron and potassium. It is also rich in fiber and hence in turn helps fight constipation.
