Have you heard of a leafy green vegetable that bleeds red? Lal saag, famous for its red colour, is one of the leafy greens that locals of Jharkhand love to eat and is very popular in Bengal too.
1 bunch lal saag 1 tbsp ghee or oil 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste Water as needed
Heat ghee or oil, add cumin seeds and lal saag to the pan and sauté for a few minutes until it wilts.
Add a little water, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
Cover the pan and cook on low heat until the spinach is tender.
Serve hot with roti, paratha, or rice.
