Bhindi with rice and dal fry is a soulful combination. It makes for the simplest meal that guarantees a food coma. While there are many ways to prepare okra, try the recipe of kurkuri bhindi for a crunchy indulgence.
½ kg sliced bhindi 1 tsp dry mango powder 1.5 tsp coriander powder ½ tsp turmeric powder ½ cup gram flour 1 tsp red chilli powder Salt to taste 3/4 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp chaat masala 1 tsp garam masala Oil
Wash okra thoroughly and cut big chunks with a slice in the middle.
Sprinkle all the spices over bhindi along with salt to taste and keep the slices aside to absorb the flavours.
Sprinkle besan on bhindi and toss it with a spatula. Water from okra will start to make the paste wet.
Coat each okra piece with gram flour, which will add to the crunchy texture.
After 20-30 minutes of rest, pour the contents of the bowl in a kadhai with hot oil.
Keep frying bhindi until the slices are crunchy. Serve them with dal chawal for a comforting meal.
