Can you ever think of having a kokum cocktail? If not, we have something for you. Chef Sonali Kukreja’s Kokum cocktail can take away all your worries and make you feel refreshed and relaxed. Here’s how you can make it.
1/4th cup wet kokum 1/4th cup hot water 3 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp water ¼ tbsp black salt 1/8th tsp black pepper ½ tsp cumin powder ½ tbsp lime juice 30 ml gin 80 ml tonic water 60 ml kokum concentrate Lime slices Ice
First soak kokum in hot water for 30 mins. When done, blend it into a lump-free puree.
In a saucepan, add water and sugar. Let it melt and add in the kokum puree. Also, add black salt, black pepper, cumin powder and lime juice.
Cook the puree and when it coats the back of the spoon, take it off and strain.
Take a glass and add kokum sherbet. Add ice, gin and stir.
Top with tonic water and stir well. Garnish with lime slice and serve!
