Know How To Make Perfect Pizza Dough At Home

There is hardly anyone in this world who doesn’t like indulging in pizza. The base of any pizza is the dough, the canvas upon which culinary creativity flourishes. Although the allure of store-bought dough may be tempting, nothing compares to the satisfaction of homemade pizza dough. Here’s the recipe.

Ingredients

2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast 1 ½ cups warm water 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon sugar

Step 1

In a bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, then sprinkle the yeast over it. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.

Step 3

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Step 4

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

Step 5

Punch down the risen dough and divide it according to your pizza size preference. Roll out each portion into a circle.

Step 6

Add your favourite toppings, then bake the pizza in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the toppings are bubbly.
