Kids often do not want to indulge in eating fruits. The season being famous for mangoes, we are here to make the best use for kids. This sweet and smooth Mango Halwa is perfect as a dessert for lunch/dinner. Thus, without wasting any time, follow these steps to make your kid’s favourite quick and easy mango halwa.
1 large ripe mango or 2 small mangoes 10 saffron strands ½ cup sugar ½ tsp cardamom powder 3 tbsp ghee ½ cup semolina ¼ cup mixed nuts ¼ cup chopped dry fruits
Wash and peel the mangoes thoroughly.
Chop them nicely and add to the blend.
After blending it for once, add sugar cardamom powder to it. Blend it again until a smooth paste is made. Take a pan, dry roast the nuts and save for later
In the same pan, add ghee. Once the ghee starts melting, add semolina and keep stirring so that there is no stir.
Once the semolina is brown in colour and exudes aroma, add the mango paste and keep stirring.
On another pan add water and boil it with saffron strands.
Pour the hot water on the mango halwa mixture and keep stirring until it turns aromatic and thick.
Turn off the flame. Serve it in a bowl. Garnish with roasted dry fruits and nuts.
