The humble one-pot rice dish, khichdi, is not only easy to make but a wholesome and comforting meal too. Pair it with papad, fried eggplants and more.
A whipped up tangy curd dish, raita is usually made of vegetables and spices. Finely-chopped cucumbers with red chilli powder and salt, mixed in curd fare well with khichdi.
This is a Bengali specialty that goes well with many rice dishes, including khichdi. Coated in besan and fried, these eggplant fritters are a must-try.
A sweet and sour pickle made with chopped mangoes, dipped in oil and spices is what you need. This definitely amps up the taste of the light and breezy khichdi.
