Kesar Pista Shrikhand Recipe For A Creamy Summer Dessert

Shrikhand is a staple yoghurt-based dessert in states like Maharashtra and Gujarat. It is known for its creamy consistency and sweet flavour but many other additions, such as kesar and pista, are common. So, if you are a fan of shrikhand, try this recipe at home:

Ingredients

2 cups hung curd 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon saffron soaked in 1 tablespoon warm milk 2 tablespoons of chopped pistachios A pinch of cardamom powder (optional) Saffron and pistachios for garnish

Step 1

Mix hung curd with powdered sugar until smooth.

Step 2

Add saffron soaked in warm milk, pistachios, and a pinch of cardamom powder (optional). Mix well.

Step 3

Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours. Garnish the Kesar Pista Shrikhand with saffron strands and chopped pistachios before serving.
