Kerela Parotta, or Malabar Parotta is a famous South Indian flatbread, which is loved for its flaky and buttery layers. If you are preparing Onam Sadhya, don’t forget to add it to your festive meal.
3 cups maida 2 tablespoons rava 1 tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons ghee Water for kneading Oil for cooking
Knead a dough by mixing maida, rava, sugar, salt, and ghee. Gradually add water till smooth.
Take small portions and flatten them. Spread some oil and roll into thin circles.
Sprinkle some more oil and fold the dough into halves to make a square. Roll again into a rectangle.
Heat a tawa and cook the rolled parotta till both sides are golden brown.
Once it has a flaky texture, serve it hot to complete your lunch or dinner.
