Pazham pori or banana fritters are the ultimate snacks consumed across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Prades, and Telangana. The sweet and salty deep-fried snacks pair well with the evening tea. Here is its recipe.
2 ripe bananas 1 cup maida 1/4 cup rice flour 1/8 tsp baking soda 1/8 tsp salt 1/8 tsp turmeric 2 cardamom powder 3 tbsp sugar Oil for frying
Mix maida, rice flour, sugar, and other powdered ingredients in a bowl.
Add water to mix and prepare a smooth but thick batter.
Peel off the skins of bananas and cup them lengthwise.
Dip the long strips in the batter and drop them in hot oil,
Cook the fritters until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
Enjoy pazham pori with chutney and filter coffee.
