A glass of wine at the end of a long day is always a treat. But when wine is open it starts to oxidise and turn sour. These hacks will keep your wine from turning into vinegar before you get a chance to enjoy it.
Store the wine in a dark place. Sunlight will only speed up the oxidation process.
Refrigerate your wine to keep the temperature down and microbial growth to a minimum.
Use a vacuum pump to remove as much air as possible before closing it to slow oxidation.
Transfer the wine to a smaller glass bottle to minimise the amount of air inside the bottle.
Keep wine stoppers or extra corks on hand to ensure you can always create a reliable seal.
