Proper storage of chicken sausages is crucial for maintaining their freshness and flavour, especially in Indian kitchens. Here are five easy and practical ways to store them effectively.
Store sausages in the refrigerator at 4°C or lower. Place them in an airtight container to prevent moisture loss and odours.
For long-term storage, freeze sausages in vacuum-sealed bags or tightly wrapped in plastic. They can last up to 3 months.
If vacuum sealing isn’t an option, use a ziplock bag, squeeze out excess air, and seal tightly before freezing.
Divide sausages into smaller portions before freezing, so you only thaw what you need.
Always label stored sausages with the date of purchase to keep track of freshness.
