Eating a lot of fresh fruits can help a woman stay hydrated during the vrat without drinking any water. 

Pheni

Pheni, is a typical food served on Karwa Chauth, and it's a kind of seviyan or vermicelli.

Dry Fruits

Sargi thali provides all the necessary nutrients for the day if cashews, almonds, raisins etc are included.

Sweets

Sweets provide energy to go through the rest of the day because of being high in glucose and sugar. 

Light Meals

Vermicelli, perhaps a simple semi-cooked vegetable, or halwa can also be served as part of the sargi thali.

Mathri

Deep-fried, sugar syrup-coated Punjabi fried puris called Meethi Mathris are a must-have for Karwa Chauth.

Milk

One can even have milk with added flavours like cardamom or turmeric to feel energetic throughout the day.
