Give good old pantry staples a delicious twist that takes no more than a few minutes but is big on flavour, making breakfast a fun experience.
5 slices bread, cubed 1 onion, chopped 1 tomato, chopped ½ capsicum, chopped 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 2 green chillies, chopped Salt, to taste 1 tablespoon grated cheese 1 tablespoon ghee
Heat the ghee in a pan and add the mustard seeds to let them splutter.
Add the chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste, to cook for 3-4 minutes.
Once the onions brown lightly, add the green chillies and tomatoes.
Sauté for 5 minutes, until the tomatoes begin to soften and add the bell peppers.
Season lightly with salt and add the spices.
Cook the mixture covered with a lid for 2-3 minutes and add the cubed bread.
Allow the spice mixture to coat the bread cubes completely before you adjust seasoning.
Serve warm with cheese on top.
