Karan Johar is a full on foodie and he enjoys many Desi dishes. One delicious dish that he loves to relish is the Sindhi mutton curry. Here is a simple Sindhi mutton curry recipe.

500 grams of mutton 2 large onions, finely chopped 2 tomatoes, chopped 2-3 green chilies, slit 3-4 cloves of garlic, minced 1-inch piece of ginger 1/2 cup yogurt 2 tablespoons cooking oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste Fresh coriander leaves Water as needed

In a bowl, mix the mutton pieces with yogurt, half of the minced ginger and garlic, half of the red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and a pinch of salt.

Heat the cooking oil in a heavy-bottomed pan or pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Then, add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

Add the remaining minced ginger and garlic to the pan and sauté for a few more minutes until the raw smell disappears. Then add the spices.

Add the marinated mutton to the pan and cook on high heat for a few minutes. Reduce the heat to medium, cover the pan, and let the mutton cook for 20-25 minutes.

Transfer the contents of the pan to the pressure cooker and add enough water to cover the mutton. Close the lid and cook until the mutton is tender (usually 3-4 whistles).
