Weight loss is not an easy feat, but does it always have to be a bland and flavourless affair? We don’t think so.
Kala Chana or chickpea is an excellent source of protein. High protein foods help induce satiety, and if you feel full, you keep away from fatty snacks.
– 1 cup black chana – 1 medium onion cut into four pieces – Cumin seeds – 5 garlic pods, chopped – 1-inch ginger, chopped – Black pepper – Salt to taste – Coriander leaves
Soak 2 cups of kala chana overnight. Drain the water the next morning and rinse well.
Put chickpeas and four cups of water in pressure cooker with little salt. Cover and allow to cook for 3-4 whistles. Transfer the chickpea into a bowl.
In the meantime, add ghee to pan. Followed by cumin seeds, chopped garlic, ginger and sautee well.
When the colour changes, add boiled chana, cook for 5 minutes. Add salt and black pepper. Garnish with chopped coriander.
