Kajari Teej 2023: Quick Satvik Kheer  For The Celebration

Ingredients

1 cup rice 250 gm sugar 1/4th cup sliced almonds 1/4th cup pistachios 1/4th cup cashews 2 lt full cream milk 2 tsp green cardamoms Saffron strands

Step 1

First, rinse rice and soak them for atleast 15 minutes. Meanwhile, heat milk in a pan.

Step 2

Take 2 tbsp milk in a bowl and add saffron strands. Also, drain the water from the rice and add it to the milk.

Step 3

Cook until rice reduces to half. Mix sugar and continue cooking. Keep stirring and cook until the kheer starts to thicken.

Step 4

Now, add cardamom powder, sliced unsalted pistachios, chopped cashews and dissolved saffron.

Step 5

Mix well and also scrape the sides. When done, serve and enjoy.
