Jowar Dosa: Make The South Indian Staple With Millets

Jowar dosa is a twist on the classic South Indian dosa that’s usually made with a batter of urad dal and rice. To make it even healthier and nutritious, you can use jowar atta (sorghum flour).

Ingredients

1.5 cups jowar flour 4 cups water 1 onion 2 green chillies 2 tablespoons coriander - Curry leaves as per preference Salt to taste Oil for cooking

Step 1

Make a fresh batter with jowar flour and water.

Step 2

Add finely chopped onion, coriander, green chillies, curry leaves, and salt.

Step 3

Mix all the ingredients together and ensure there are no lumps.

Step 4

After letting the batter rest for a while, adjust the consistency if required.

Step 5

Heat up a pan, pour some oil and cook a spoonful of dosa batter till it’s crisp.

Step 6

Serve the jowar dosa with sambar and nariyal chutney.
