Jharkhand is known for many other street foods, some of which you might be aware of but are made in different variations. Take a look at this Jharkhand special batata puri. Try out the recipe at home!
For the Puri: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt Water, as needed Oil for frying For the Potato Filling: 2 medium-sized potatoes 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste Chopped coriander leaves For the Chutneys: Green Chutney Tamarind Chutney
To make the puri, mix flour, salt, and water to form a dough.
Deep fry the puris until golden brown and crispy.
Prepare the potato filling, and mix mashed potatoes with red chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, and coriander leaves.
Place a puri on a plate.
Top with a spoonful of potato filling.
Drizzle with green chutney and tamarind chutney.
