Mahua is a fruit from mahua trees which is locally loved in Jharkhand and the taste is similar to raisins. The deliciousness of mahua fruits gives people a flavoursome and pungent kick. Here is a simple mahua masala recipe you can try.
1 cup dry mahua flowers 1.5 cups of water 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon coriander powder ½ teaspoon red chilli powder ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, cinnamon and black cardamom powder mix 8-10 garlic cloves 2 green chillies 1 onion Oil 5-6 masala bhaji 8-10 curry leaves
Take a pan and heat some oil.
Add garlic and other spices with curry leaves.
Add tomato and onions, let it sear for a bit.
Add dry mahua and water. Let it cook for 15 minutes on low flame.
Turn off the flame after the water is completely dried out. Serve hot with roti and rice.
